Vaira Aurelj

The story of Giacomo and Francesco Vaira begins in 2009, when they inherited a 0.3-hectare vineyard from their father. For many years, managing this vineyard was a kind of second job alongside their work at renowned wineries in the area, always in the wine/vineyard sector, of course. After gaining some experience, in 2019 their shared passion led them to start a small production, and they released the first label of Controcorrente, made with the rosé clone of Nebbiolo, followed by Fuorizona and Barolo (due out in 2024).
