About Us

Who are we, or rather, who am I? Let me introduce myself: I'm Yuri Marchi, a simple thirty-year-old guy from Tuscany (Massa Carrara) who, during high school, became curious about the world of wine and oenology in general. This interest led me to enroll at the University of Pisa, in the Faculty of Viticulture and Oenology, where I developed a passion for everything related to this fantastic world. In 2010, thanks to a university internship, I spent 4 months experiencing the true winemaking reality at a small winery in Neive (Cuneo), Piero Busso.

The experience in the cellar was unforgettable; I grew even closer to the world of wine, getting hands-on, and developing exponentially by discussing, tasting, and following every step of the winemaking process.

After spending a few years commuting between Tuscany and Piedmont, I decided that the Langhe was where I wanted to live my life. I found various odd jobs here and there, working in the vineyard or as a waiter at a friends' farmhouse, until in 2016 I decided the time was right!

Thus, on August 26, 2017, Il Vinoso was born, a wine shop with an attached e-commerce. At first, I focused on local wines from the Langhe or Roero, but then expanded the selection, adhering to the choices that led me to open my own business: ONLY RIGHT WINES. No commercial compromise, nor gustatory, because when it comes to wine, "you don't joke around." Today, the wine shop is a reference point for tourists and locals, as it offers a vast selection of Langhe wines and an equally extensive space dedicated to other important wine-producing regions: Champagne and Burgundy in France, Tuscany and all the rest of Italy, Spain, Germany, and gradually we will put a flag in every region!
