Tenuta di Carleone: Radda in Chianti, Sean O’Callaghan and Sangiovese without masks

Tenuta di Carleone was established in Radda in Chianti, in the heart of Chianti Classico, through the collaboration of the Egger family and Sean O’Callaghan. It is a young winery in form, but built on extensive experience and a very precise idea: to work with Sangiovese with freedom, freshness, and respect for the high-altitude, wooded character of Radda.

The estate stretches across woods, olive groves, small plots, and vineyards primarily dedicated to Sangiovese. In Carleone wines, there is no pursuit of weight or artifice: there is a more essential Tuscany, made of altitude, soils, spontaneous fermentations, and a hand that prefers energy, transparency, and drinkability over construction.
