Le Chiuse: Montalcino, the Biondi Santi legacy and a family at the heart of Sangiovese

Le Chiuse is a historic Montalcino estate, located between Canalicchi and Montosoli, in a place that belongs to the deepest memory of Brunello. The property was linked for generations to the Biondi Santi family and to the grapes destined for the Greppo Riserves, before becoming the independent project of Simonetta Valiani and the Magnelli family.

The vineyards are dedicated to Sangiovese Grosso and grow on clay-limestone soils, rich in fossil material, galestro, and tuff. In Le Chiuse wines, there is no search for effect: there is Montalcino in its most familiar, agricultural, and measured form, made of continuity, soil, memory, and time.
