J. G. Benda

John Benda is the new rising star in Montalcino. Of English origin but raised in Rome, John was introduced to the world of wine during his years in London. For the past few years, together with his Australian wife Zoe Johnson, he has been cultivating approximately 2 hectares of vineyards in Montalcino, located just below the Passo del Lume Spento, at an altitude of about 550 meters. The charm of his wines comes from an intrinsic freshness of the territory of origin: the altitude, the large presence of wooded areas, and the diverse origins of the soils allow him to express all the elegance of Sangiovese.
