John Benda's Rosso di Montalcino is a red wine produced in the Montalcino area using Sangiovese grapes.
I won't deny that I couldn't wait for John to release his first vintage. A breath of fresh air in Montalcino, that regenerating and invigorating breeze. A wine that speaks of its territory, respects it, and enhances everything we love about Sangiovese.

John Benda is the new face of Montalcino. Of English origin but raised in Rome, John approached the world of wine during his years in London. For a few years now, together with his Australian wife Zoe Johnson, he has been working approximately 2 hectares of vineyard in Montalcino, located just below Passo del Lume Spento, at about 550 meters above sea level. The charm of his wines derives from an intrinsic freshness of the area of origin: the altitude, the large presence of wooded areas, and the different soil origins allow him to express all the elegance of Sangiovese.
