Chiara Torti: Montecalvo Versiggia, Pinot Noir and a new generation in Oltrepò Pavese

Chiara Torti works in Montecalvo Versiggia, in the heart of Oltrepò Pavese, within the family history of Azienda Agricola Pietro Torti. She is the fourth generation of a winery that grew up around Pinot Noir, a grape variety that finds one of its most recognizable Italian expressions here, amidst hills, silty and clay soils, and a long tradition of Metodo Classico.

Her journey combines continuity and a fresh perspective: working with Alessandro Torti, organic vineyard management, spontaneous fermentations, and an increasingly personal exploration of Pinot Noir. Chiara Torti's wines showcase a less obvious Oltrepò: familiar, agricultural, direct, yet capable of speaking with a precise and contemporary voice.
