"Contrada Tomassucci" 2024 Marche Bianco IGT

Contrada Contro's “Contrada Tomassucci” 2024 is a Marche Bianco IGT born in the Sibillini Mountains from a vineyard planted in 1972.

Contrada Tomassucci 2024 is part of Andrea Polidoro's project, who returned to the Marche region to recover old vineyards and an agricultural memory that risked disappearing in the Sibillini Mountains. It is not a white wine built on a generic idea of territory, but on a precise district: a high, internal plot, marked by limestone, sand, silt, and a landscape that is more mountainous than hilly.

The Contrada Tomassucci vineyard was planted in 1972 at an altitude of approximately 620 meters and hosts a mixed field of Malvasia Bianca di Candia, Trebbiano, Maceratino, and Verdicchio. The grapes are harvested together, directly pressed with a hydraulic press, and left overnight in steel before spontaneous fermentation; aging takes place in wood for 15 months, without bâtonnage, fining, or filtration.

Contrada Contro is Andrea Polidoro's project in the Sibillini Mountains, born from the recovery of old vineyards and local varieties that risked being forgotten. After experiences in Bordeaux and Montalcino, Andrea returned to the Marche region to work on ungrafted vines, mixed fields, and spontaneous fermentations, without filtration and with a very direct relationship with the land and the vintage.
