Clandestin's "Les Grandes Lignes" Brut Nature 2016 Champagne is a Blanc de Blancs produced by Benoit Doussot using only Chardonnay grapes.
Le Grandes Lignes 2016 is the FIRST vintage of this wine, which was disgorged in January 2019. This Champagne is made from Chardonnay grapes harvested from a single south-facing vineyard in the village of Buxières Sur Arce, in the Côte de Bar. Vinification takes place in 350 and 600 hectoliter barrels. Les Grandes Lignes is an imposing sparkling wine, with a complex and ample palate, always supported by great tension.

The Winery: Clandestin
The Clandestin project was born from the collaboration between Benoit Doussot and Bertrand Gautherot, of Vouette & Sorbée; the company's focus is on enhancing west-facing vineyards in Champagne, particularly in the Côte de Bar, which are usually neglected due to being colder. Contrary to the thinking of many, Benoit and Bertrand believe that a colder climate leads to more energetic and taut Champagnes, where verticality plays a central role.
