The winery: Luigi Pira
Founded in 1950 by Mr. Luigi Pira, the company is now managed by his son Gianpaolo, who has continued the family tradition of producing high-quality wines.
The Pira Luigi winery cultivates the main grape varieties of the Langhe: Dolcetto, Barbera, and Nebbiolo, from which, in addition to the Langhe DOC, the four company labels of Barolo are also born: Vignarionda, Marenca, Margheria, and a communal Barolo from Serralunga.
Gianpaolo Pira has always strived to produce wines that reflect the tradition and the territory in which the grapes are grown. The company follows an artisanal approach to wine production, which involves particular attention to every stage of the process, from grape cultivation to winemaking and aging in the bottle.
