Ronchi di Castelluccio: Modigliana, the Apennine "ronchi" and a Romagna that breaks the mould

Ronchi di Castelluccio was founded in Modigliana in 1974 by Gian Vittorio Baldi, who saw in these cold, wooded and windy hills of the Romagna Apennines a place capable of producing deeply territorial wines. The "ronchi" are small plots of land carved out of the forest, vineyards that do not tell of an easy or generic Romagna, but a more internal, vertical and silent landscape.

Since 2020, the project has found new energy with Aldo and Paolo Rametta, who have brought the interpretation of individual vineyards and the identity of Modigliana back to the forefront. In Ronchi di Castelluccio wines, memory, the Apennines, wind and a precise agricultural vision coexist: bottles that speak of place even before grape variety.
