Red Wine "58 Sinquanteut" 2019

The "58 Sinquanteut" 2019 Red Wine is obtained from the vinification in steel only of grapes from the Starderi vineyard.

This is the first vintage of this wine! It came about in a charming way, from the inspiration of Renato and Milva who, after harvesting the grapes destined for Barbaresco Starderi, decided not to move the mass to wood and leave it in steel, impressed by the complexity and drinkability of this wine. The name 58 comes from the year the vineyard was planted, and its fundamental characteristic is the Nebbiolo Rosé clone, whose exclusive vinification in steel tends to enhance those fruity and elegant aromas. The total production is extremely limited, at 2314 bottles and very few large formats.

The Winery: Renato Fenocchio

Renato and Milva Fenocchio live in Neive, where they have managed the family business since 1993. The total vineyard area is about 11 hectares, all cultivated organically between the municipalities of Neive, Barbaresco, and Treiso. Renato is first and foremost a farmer, and considers a sustainable approach to vineyard work to be extremely important, where new cultivation techniques and prevention against vine fungi or pests are increasingly used. Winery operations are always aimed at the maximum expression of the grape variety: the grapes are stressed as little as possible, and enological techniques are never invasive. Renato and Milva are true wine artisans, driven by an incredible passion for the land and its fruits.
