Casa Tallone's "Grandi*Nato" 2021 Rosé Wine is made from Nebbiolo and Arneis grapes.
The Sacchetto brothers' intention was not to produce a rosé wine, and I think the choice to call it Grandinato (Hailstormed) and turn the logo upside down is proof of that. The fruit of their labor in the Nebbiolo vineyard, from which they would have harvested the grapes for the production of the first vintage of Roero DOCG, was practically wiped out by the hailstorm on July 13th. The surviving grapes barely filled 24 crates, which, vinified together with Arneis, resulted in this rosé wine. Buy it to support the guys at Casa Tallone; buy it because we hope it's the first and last vintage; buy it because, in the end, it's good!😂
