"Il Guercio" by Tenuta di Carleone is the label dedicated to Sean O’Callaghan, nicknamed Il Guercio (The One-Eyed Man).
We are in Gaiole in Chianti, in the Mello vineyard, which at 700 meters above sea level contributes freshness and elegance to the success of this wine. Natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts and low use of sulfites are at the core of Sean's idea, which gives this wine a wonderful fruity character, differentiating it from more classic styles.
