Syrah "Vigna Piezza" 2019 Toscana IGT

Podere Concori's Syrah Vigna Piezza is produced in Gallicano, a municipality in Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca.

Gallicano is a small municipality in Garfagnana, a splendid area where I was fortunate enough to work for a summer. We are located between the Apuan Alps and the Apennines, in a typical pre-Alpine valley that is actually just a few kilometers from the sea. Gabriele de Prato, one of the figures in the Tuscan wine world, immediately loved a grape variety like Syrah, planting it in this portion of Tuscan paradise where it excels with freshness on the palate and nose, with its typical fruity and spicy notes. This is the case of Syrah Vigna Piezza, one of the highest expressions of this grape variety in Tuscany.
