Saint-Joseph Rouge is a red wine from the Rhône Valley produced by Domaine Equis with Syrah grapes.
Maxime Graillot and Thomas Schmittel have very clear ideas: to produce a wine capable of blending all the character of Syrah, its savoriness and its complexity of fruit and spices, with an approach made of great agility, glasses poured and finished, and lightheartedness. Unlike Equinoxe, the Saint-Joseph Rouge comes from a single vineyard in Saint-Jean de Muzols, the true pulsating heart of this AOC. The vineyard is located at high altitude, so the wine primarily emphasizes freshness and elegance.

The Winery: Domaine Equis
Domaine Equis was born from the friendship between Maxime Graillot (son of Alain, a historic wine producer who passed away in 2022) and Thomas Schmittel, who decided to create this project to offer a fresher and more dynamic version of the flagship wine of the Rhône Valley: Syrah. The appellations produced are Crozes-Hermitage, Saint Joseph, and Cornas.
