Cascina Fontana's 2020 Vino Rosso is a pure Nebbiolo vinified without added sulfites.

Cascina Fontana is an artisanal producer from Monforte d'Alba. In recent years, they have embraced the Triple A world, producing this sulfite-free wine alongside their historical labels. Of the six bottles in the case, all have a different colored label. The vineyard's roots delve into sandy soils rich in calcareous veins. Vinification takes place in fiberglass vats, partly with the use of stems. Mario Fontana's Vino Rosso is at once unconventional and typical, as much tied to tradition as it is faithful to its origin territory, yet it certainly deviates from what is now the commercial idea of Nebbiolo.
