Rosso di Montalcino from Pian dell'Orino Farm, run by Caroline Pobitzer and Hendrik Erbach, is made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the municipality of Montalcino.
After harvesting the grapes from the organically and biodynamically run vineyards exposed to the southwest in the municipality of Montalcino, Pian dell'Orino Winery proceeds with traditional winemaking, with spontaneous fermentation in steel and aging for over 20 months in large barrels.
