Marisa Bacher's Rosso Bacher 2021 is made from Dolcetto grapes harvested and vinified in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba.
Marisa Bacher's story is a recent, very recent one. Having grown up in the wine world under the wing of Mario Fontana, a Barolo producer in Perno, a hamlet of Monforte d'Alba, with whom she has collaborated since 2016, Marisa decided in 2020 to rent a vineyard in Monforte. The varieties grown are two: Dolcetto and Barbera. The intention is to speak of the territory, to give voice to the ancient Dolcetto vine, enhancing its fruit and freshness. The Rosso Bacher was vinified in concrete, and then aged in steel and fiberglass tanks until bottling in April.

The Winery: Marisa Bacher
Born and raised at the foot of Monte Rosa, after a brief working period in which she split her time between restaurant services and an office job in a metalworking company, Marisa decided to change her life. After obtaining her AIS diploma and a pruning diploma with Simonit&Sirch, she moved to the Langhe, where in 2016 she began a collaboration with one of the most important Barolo producers: Mario Fontana. Her first label was only released in 2021 after she rented a vineyard in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. Her story is still entirely to be written...
