Ansgar Clusserath's Riesling Vom Schiefer Trocken is born in the Mosel region of Germany.

It is the winery's entry-level wine, made from vines rooted in a soil that is the artisan of the greatness of the wines of this region: slate. Firstly, slate stores heat during the day, which is then released back to the plants during the colder hours of the day. Furthermore, slate helps the soil drain abundant seasonal rainfall. Its contribution to the taste of the wines is also very important, characterizing their minerality and nuances.
