Schafer-Frohlich's Riesling Trocken originates from the Nahe region, just a stone's throw from the river of the same name.
When we think of German Rieslings, the first region that comes to mind is undoubtedly the Mosel, famous for producing wines of the highest quality. However, a few kilometers from the Mosel, along the Nahe river, we find one of Germany's oldest wine-producing areas, where lush green valleys are interrupted by rock formations composed largely of slate, volcanic rock, and limestone. Schafer-Frohlich's wines are a great expression of this land, and their Riesling is typically mineral; an enjoyable drink, a beautiful bottle that needs a little time to open up in the glass.
