Pouilly Fuisse "Climat Vieilles Vignes" 2021

Robert Denogent's Pouilly Fuisse "Climat Vieilles Vignes" is produced from Chardonnay grapes from the Domaine's vineyards located in the commune of Fuissé, in the Burgundy region.

The Mâconnais region enjoys a temperate climate with continental influences. The vineyards are located at an altitude ranging between 200 and 400 meters above sea level, creating favorable conditions for optimal grape ripening. The Pouilly Fuisse "Climat Vieilles Vignes" is the new label from Denogent, produced with grapes harvested in the Climats of La Croix and the Premier Cru Les Reisses in vintages where yields are so low that a differentiation between the different Mâconnais vineyards is not possible. The winemaking process is complex, to say the least, proceeding in containers of various sizes and materials: from barriques to 600-liter tonneaux, all the way to stainless steel tanks, concrete eggs, or stoneware containers. It is bottled after spending 19 months on its fine lees.
