Noblerot is a sweet white wine produced by the Montelio winery in Oltrepò Pavese.
Awarded four "viti" by AIS, Noblerot is indisputably one of the best Italian sweet white wines. It is produced by Montelio from Moscato Fiori d'Arancio and aromatic Malvasia di Candia grapes, harvested overripe and left to dry first in outdoor crates, and then on racks in a ventilated room. Fermentation and aging take place in 500-liter wooden barrels. The strength of this sweet wine is its balance: the nose is rich, very rich, with notes of fruit, honey, flowers, dehydrated citrus, and the palate is taut as the sweetness is attenuated by the acidic component.
