The 2022 Langhe Rosato from the Castrum Roche winery is produced by Isacco Costamagna in the hamlet of Torriglione, in the municipality of La Morra.
The Castrum Roche winery was formally established in 2021 with the release of its first vintage of Langhe Nebbiolo. Thanks to two hectares of vineyards inherited from his grandparents, Isacco cultivates his Nebbiolo vines in one of the most beautiful amphitheaters of the Langhe: the Torriglione terrace overlooking the fantastic Rocche dell'Annunziata. Unfortunately, in 2022, the vineyard in the upper part, Boiolo, was hit by a hailstorm in June, and in August, Isacco decided to use those grapes for the production of a rosé. The grapes were destemmed and crushed, and after about 12 hours of maceration, they were pressed. Classic white winemaking with daily pump-overs and aging in steel tanks for 3 months.
