Anna Maria Abbona's Langhe Pinot Nero "Scavis" is produced in Farigliano with Pinot Noir grapes harvested from.
In recent years, the wineries of the Langhe have been slowly approaching the vinification of Pinot Noir, an international grape variety widespread throughout the world, but one that certainly loves milder climates than that of Piedmont, in order to express all its elegance. Fortunately, Anna Maria owns vineyards in the highest municipalities of the Langhe, between Farigliano, Belvedere and Marsaglia, where temperatures never reach very high peaks, and where the thermal excursion between day and night allows for proper ripening of the grapes without losing the right balance with acidity. This is how Scavis, Anna Maria Abbona's Langhe Pinot Nero, was born: a red wine that does not transcend the soul of Pinot Noir, but manages to blend it with its territory of origin.
