Poderi Colla's 2012 Langhe Pinot Nero "Campo Romano" originates from a vineyard planted in 1977 in Cascine Drago with vines sourced from Burgundy.
The Langhe region and Pinot Noir are increasingly becoming friends. Many producers have tried to tackle the King of France in Nebbiolo territory. Poderi Colla offers us this undoubtedly exciting interpretation, where the essence of the grape variety merges with the cultivation terroir. The name Campo Romano derives from Roman-era finds discovered in the soil when it was prepared for planting the vineyard.
