Teobaldo Rivella's Langhe Nebbiolo 2024 lives up to expectations: is it perhaps one of the best Langhe Nebbiolo to drink?

Teobaldo Rivella's Langhe Nebbiolo from the Serafino Rivella winery was born on the Montestefano hill in Barbaresco exactly five years ago. After the uprooting of the lamented Dolcetto vineyard, Teobaldo wanted to accompany his Barbaresco Montestefano with a Nebbiolo of character, certainly not one to be drunk lightly. Teobaldo's Barbaresco touch dominates, also thanks to a terroir, that of Montestefano, which is certainly not famous for producing wines without "cazzimma" (a Neapolitan term for a captivating, bold, and slightly mischievous character). The 2019 Nebbiolo was initially particularly austere, to be eagerly awaited during its bottle maturation. The 2024 expresses great fruit freshness thanks to a soft and not too prolonged extraction on the skins combined with a correct use of wood for aging.
