Paolo Giordano is a winemaker from Perno, a hamlet of Monforte d'Alba. His Langhe Nebbiolo is now in its fourth vintage and continues to impress more and more!
Yes, indeed, a breath of fresh air. Because it's easy (not always, but certainly easier, mind you) to have a family business and carry it forward with solid foundations behind you. Paolo, on the other hand, decided to reinvent himself: from programmer to winemaker, the step is not so short after all. This Langhe Nebbiolo comes from the southwest-facing hills of Perno, a parcel of about 5 hectares from which its older brother, Barolo Perno, is also produced, a hamlet of Monforte d'Alba. It fully embodies the characteristics of this sub-zone, tremendous potential fully expressed in this wine.
