Langhe Nebbiolo 2023

Lalù winery's 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo is produced in Serralunga d'Alba with grapes harvested in the Roncaglie area in La Morra, and Bussia Bovi in Monforte d'Alba.

Lara and Luisa from Lalù winery are considered among the best emerging producers in the Langhe, young, with very clear ideas about the path to take: they divide their time between La Morra and Serralunga, passing through Monforte d'Alba, and it is precisely in these municipalities of the Langhe that their Nebbiolo comes to life. The vineyards are located in the Roncaglie area of La Morra and Bussia Bovi of Monforte; vineyard work proceeds with precision, and particular attention to sustainable viticulture. Thanks to a past of collaborations with many French producers, particularly from Burgundy, they try to adopt a very Burgundian style, and this Langhe Nebbiolo is an example: an open, fruity and floral nose, so fascinating that it seems hypnotic, and on the palate a verve, a drive, a juiciness very - I repeat - very difficult to find. The tannins are elegant, and the persistence long.

The Winery: Lalù

Lara and Luisa are two very young Langhe producers, born in 1991 and 1990 respectively. During their degree in Gastronomic Sciences at the University of Pollenzo, they began to approach the world of wine, visiting many Langhe producers and coming into contact with what completely fascinated them: working in the vineyard, the true relationship with the land, and all the attention and care necessary for producing quality wine. After graduation, they moved to France, mostly to Burgundy, where they worked alongside some of the most iconic producers in the French wine scene during harvest and in the cellar, such as Cécile Tremblay, to name one. Thus was born the dream of their own project, from friendship in school to life and work partners. Today, Lara and Luisa vinify the three main red grape varieties of the Langhe: Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. The winery is located in Serralunga, while the vineyards are divided between La Morra and Monforte d'Alba.
