Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 Magnum

Lalù winery's 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo is produced in Serralunga d'Alba with grapes harvested in Roncaglie, La Morra, and Bussia Bovi, Monforte d'Alba.

Lara and Luisa from Lalù winery are considered among the best emerging producers in the Langhe, young, with very clear ideas about the path to take: they divide their time between La Morra and Serralunga, passing through Monforte d'Alba, and it is precisely in these Langhe municipalities that their Nebbiolo comes to life. The vineyards are located in the Roncaglie area of La Morra and Bussia Bovi of Monforte; work in the vineyard proceeds with precision, and a particular attention to sustainable viticulture. Thanks to a past made of collaborations with many French producers, particularly from Burgundy, they try to adopt a very Burgundian style, and this Langhe Nebbiolo is an example of this: an open, fruity and floral nose, so fascinating that it seems hypnotic, and on the palate a verve, a drive, a juiciness very - I repeat - very difficult to find. The tannins are elegant, and the finish is long.

The Winery: Lalù

Lara and Luisa are two very young producers from Langa, born in 1991 and 1990 respectively. During their degree in Gastronomic Sciences at the University of Pollenzo, they began to approach the world of wine, visiting many producers in Langa, coming into contact with what completely fascinates them: work in the vineyard, the true relationship with the land and all the care and attention necessary for the production of a quality wine. After graduation, they moved to France, mostly to Burgundy, where they joined some of the most iconic producers in the French wine scene, such as Cécile Tremblay to name one, in harvesting and cellar work. Thus, the dream of their own project was born, from their friendship in school to life and work partners. Today, Lara and Luisa vinify the three main red grape varieties of the Langhe: Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. The winery is located in Serralunga, while the vineyards are divided between La Morra and Monforte d'Alba.
