Langhe Nebbiolo 2022

Ferdinando Principiano's Langhe Nebbiolo is a red wine produced in Monforte d'Alba.

The grapes are harvested from two different vineyards: the majority come from a vineyard in Montagliato, on the ridge connecting Monforte d'Alba to Dogliani; the other part is harvested in Le Coste di Monforte and Boscareto, and subsequently declassified. The wine follows Ferdinando's principles, who, with a simple, natural, and careful vinification, expresses the primary characteristics of the grape variety, bringing to the glass a sip of freshness and fruit.

The Ferdinando Principiano winery is located in Monforte d'Alba. The company's approach to production philosophy is entirely natural, with spontaneous fermentations always taking place in stainless steel. Ferdinando makes craftsmanship his strength, as well as manual labor, terroir, and sincerity in personal relationships, which is reflected in his wines. The vineyards that give rise to the Nebbiolo-based wines are divided between the municipalities of Monforte d'Alba and Serralunga d'Alba: all beautiful exposures, soils ranging from clay to limestone, where the sandy percentage often plays a fundamental role.
