Langhe Nebbiolo "Freròt" 2021

The Langhe Nebbiolo Freròt from the Santamaria winery by Walter Viberti is produced with grapes from the municipality of La Morra.

The Santamaria winery is located in the northern part of the municipality of La Morra and cultivates only the Nebbiolo grape, from which Barolo, Barolo Riserva, and Langhe Nebbiolo are produced. All the vineyards are located in the Capalot sub-zone, which produces wines of great elegance. Walter produces wine naturally: in the vineyard, only copper and sulfur are used, while in the cellar, fermentations take place without the aid of selected yeasts, and the wines age in steel or, in the case of Barolo, in medium-sized barrels.

Freròt is a Nebbiolo with character, clearly attributable to its terroir of origin: the fruit plays a central role, with notes of dark cherry, accompanied by delicate hints of violet.
