Langhe Nebbiolo 2020 Magnum

Piero Benevelli's 2020 Langhe Nebbiolo is made from grapes harvested in Monforte d'Alba in the Ravera and Le Coste areas.

The Piero Benevelli winery is located in Monforte d'Alba, on the road leading to Roddino and Serralunga d'Alba. Massimo and Denise, husband and wife, are warm-hearted people deeply attached to their land and all its historical traditions. The wines are traditional in style with an eye towards natural winemaking, without the use of selected yeasts and without filtration. In the cellar, only the necessary actions are performed to protect the quality of the wine, which has been increasingly talked about in recent years. Massimo's wines are sincere wines that highlight their terroir of origin.

Langhe Nebbiolo is produced from grapes harvested in the younger vineyards of Ravera di Monforte and Le Coste di Monforte. While complexity, austerity, and longevity are sought in its older siblings, Langhe Nebbiolo is vinified in steel tanks with a submerged cap, to make it less demanding to drink and express the full soul of a Nebbiolo. The aging process is split: the tank from Le Coste continues its aging in steel, while the one from Ravera is placed in old 500-liter tonneaux and large barrels for 6 months.
