Nascetta is an indigenous white grape variety from Piedmont, which the Anna Maria Abbona winery vinifies in purity in the municipality of Farigliano.
Nascetta is an indigenous grape variety that was previously used for white wine blends. At the end of the twentieth century, however, it was in a sense rediscovered by the Elvio Cogno winery in Novello, and since then many producers have been trying their hand at vinifying this white grape. Anna Maria Abbona, a winery in Farigliano, has been vinifying Nascetta since 2010, and their interpretation is fresh, easy-drinking, and features a bouquet that primarily expresses aromatic herb notes: sage, rosemary, and mint.
