Mouzon Leroux's Champagne Brut Nature "L'Ascendant" Solera 14/17 Grand Cru is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay harvested in the Grand Cru village of Verzy, in the Montagne de Reims.
An unusual Champagne, as it is essentially a solera method made up of several vintages of the L'Atavique cuvée, another label produced by the winery: 50% from the 2018 vintage base, while the remaining 50% from the 2017 to 2014 vintages.

The Winery: Mouzon Leroux
Domaine Mouzon Leroux is located in the village of Verzy, where it harvests about 80% of its total production, which is then joined by grapes harvested in the villages of Verzenay, Ludes, and Villers-Marmery. The vineyards are managed according to biodynamic viticulture principles, and the Champagnes respectfully express their terroir of origin, each being unique and distinctive based on the natural diversity of soil, exposure, and climate.
