Champagne Extra Brut "Bulles de Comptoir" #10 'Tchin Tchin'

Charles Dufour's Extra Brut Champagne "Bulles de Comptoir" #10 'Tchin Tchin' is an assemblage of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc.

We are in one of the southernmost areas of Champagne, more precisely in the village of Landreville, part of the Aube, not far from Bar-Sur-Seine. Historically, this is the territory where Pinot Noir cultivation prevails over other grape varieties, and in this assemblage, it is indeed predominant, compared to 30% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Blanc. The base vintage is 2019, to which 10% of reserve wines from a perpetual reserve from 2010 to 2018 are added.

The Winery: Charles Dufour

Charles Dufour's project was born with the aim of enhancing the terroir of Landreville, one of the villages of the Cote des Bars. Charles is responsible for the organic management of the vineyards, as well as the winemaking, which follows a path without particular oenological interventions and with the use of indigenous yeasts only, with the aim of enhancing the characteristics of the soil and exposure. The cultivated area is 6 hectares, extending around the villages of Landreville, Celles-sur-Ounce and Essoyes. Recently, Charles has also started vinifying his mother's grapes, Francoise Martinot; the Champagne in question is called Bistrotage and is an absolute must-try!
