Andrea Picchioni's "Bricco Riva Bianca" Buttafuoco is produced in Oltrepò Pavese from an assemblage of Barbera, Croatina, and Ughetta di Solinga.
Andrea Picchioni is one of the leading exponents of Buttafuoco and is considered one of the most important producers in the Oltrepò region. His natural approach to the vineyard and cellar results in wines of incredible density and texture. The Buttafuoco Riva Bianca is the winery's flagship wine: produced only in the best and most favorable vintages, it is the result of careful selection of the best grapes from the vineyards of Canneto Pavese. Vinification takes place in steel tanks, while aging is carried out for 12 months in wooden barrels. The wine plays on the balance between its material component and acidity, with a sip that is both rich and fresh, robust yet agile.
