Barolo "Via Nuova" 2021

Chiara Boschis's 2021 Barolo Via Nuova is produced in Barolo from Nebbiolo grapes harvested in the municipalities of Barolo, Monforte d'Alba, and Serralunga d'Alba.

Following the historical tradition of blending, Chiara Boschis of the Pira e Figli winery harvests grapes from different municipalities and vinifies them to create this classically styled Barolo, strongly linked to the denomination's past. The name comes from Via Nuova (new it was, but in the 1800s), the old road connecting the municipalities of Barolo and Novello.

The Winery: Pira & Figli Chiara Boschis

The Pira & Figli Chiara Boschis winery was one of the most innovative and revolutionary wineries of the 1900s. Chiara, always a proponent of sustainable agriculture and the first woman of organic Barolo, vinifies grapes in Barolo, largely from vineyards near the winery and others from the municipalities of Monforte d'Alba and Serralunga d'Alba. In every wine by Chiara, her energetic and characterful personality shines through, where innovation and tradition meet with the aim of elevating the name of Nebbiolo and the entire Barolo denomination. The vineyards and wines are certified organic, and undoubtedly reflect the terroir of origin.
