Barolo "Via Nuova" 2018 Magnum

Chiara Boschis' Barolo Via Nuova is produced in Barolo from Nebbiolo grapes harvested in the municipalities of Barolo, Monforte d'Alba, and Serralunga d'Alba.

Following the historical tradition of blending, Chiara Boschis of the Pira e Figli winery harvests grapes from different municipalities and vinifies them to create this classic Barolo, which has strong ties to the denomination's past. The name comes from the Via Nuova (it was new, but in the 1800s), the old road connecting the municipalities of Barolo and Novello.

The Pira & Figli Chiara Boschis winery was one of the most innovative and revolutionary wineries of the 20th century. Chiara, always an advocate for sustainable agriculture and the first woman of organic Barolo, vinifies grapes in Barolo, largely sourced from vineyards near the winery and others from the municipalities of Monforte d'Alba and Serralunga d'Alba. Chiara's energetic and strong character shines through in every wine, where innovation and tradition meet with the aim of elevating the name of Nebbiolo and the entire Barolo denomination. The vineyards and wines are certified organic, and undoubtedly reflect their terroir of origin.
