Cavallotto's Barolo Riserva "Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe" is produced in Castiglione Falletto with grapes harvested from the central part of the MGA Bricco Boschis.
In the central part of the Bricco Boschis vineyard, the vines that will produce the fruit for the Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe reserve are carefully selected. These are the oldest vines, dating back to one of the Cavallotto family's first plantings in the Bricco Boschis vineyard. After harvesting, the grapes are taken to the cellar and vinified with a semi-submerged cap. Aging takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels for a period that usually varies between 48 and 60 months, which gives the wine incredible complexity and extraordinary aging potential.

THE WINERY: CAVALLOTTO
A historic winery in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, established in 1928, always striving for the maximum expression of this terroir: a hill of which they are practically the sole owners, the MGA Bricco Boschis. The first Cavallotto-labeled wine dates back to 1948, while the first year the Bricco Boschis name appeared on the label was 1967. Over the years, a vineyard in the Vignolo cru was acquired, and today Alfio, Giuseppe, and Laura produce two Barolo Riserva and a Barolo Classico. Other indigenous varieties are also cultivated, such as Dolcetto and Barbera, in addition to Pinot Noir from which the white wine Pinner is made. The history of the Cavallotto family continues, with an eye to the future and roots firmly planted in the past.
