Barolo "Preda" 2020

Barolo Preda 2020 is the first, much-anticipated vintage of Philine Isabelle's Barolo. We are in a small vineyard in the municipality of Barolo, a kind of enchanted valley surrounded by orchards.

A short stretch of dirt road separates one of Barolo's main roads from this enchanted micro-valley. A small stream runs at the bottom of the hill; no cars pass here, finally silence. It is paradoxical how such peace can exist just a stone's throw from traffic. On one side, Tom's vineyard, on the other, Philine's. What a multilingual Langa!

The Winery: Philine Isabelle

After years of experience around Europe, which led her to encounter vineyards, wines, and winemakers, Philine decided to settle down and start a family in the Langhe. This is how, in 2020, she began production with her first vintage of Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Chardonnay: different expressions of grape varieties and terroir, but produced with the same concept and objective. In 2024, the first vintage of Barolo Preda, a small MGA in the municipality of Barolo, was released. The rest of the story is yet to be written, but the premises are certainly promising!
