Elio Sandri's 2019 Barolo "Perno" is a wine born from a small vineyard in Perno, Monforte d'Alba.
Elio Sandri makes his wine in his Cascina Disa, a balcony overlooking the vineyards of Perno, which face the end of the ridge that gently slopes from Serralunga d'Alba towards Alba. Elio's approach to viticulture and winemaking techniques is far from interventionist: no synthetic products are used in the vineyard, and the focus is on product quality. Each vintage is different and must be interpreted in its own way.
