Podere Gagliassi's Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba is produced in Monforte d'Alba with grapes harvested in the MGA Badarina, in Serralunga d'Alba.
This Barolo presents itself at tasting as a wine where the austerity of the grape is counterbalanced by the softness brought by vinification in small wood barrels. The grapes harvested in the MGA Badarina in Serralunga are currently vinified as a communal Barolo while awaiting the necessary time to include the MGA on the label. Alcoholic fermentation in steel with 20 days of maceration and 30 months of aging in second-use barriques.

The Winery: Podere Gagliassi
A recent winery, formally established only a few years ago, located in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba in the Sant'Anna area. We are in those vineyards facing east, overlooking the eastern ridge of Monforte, and the valley that then rises towards Serralunga. The winery focuses on the production of red wines, from Nebbiolo for Barolo to Barbera, which is vinified under two different labels, and Nebbiolo, with the exception of a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyard used for the production of Alta Langa DOCG.
