Barolo "del Comune di La Morra" 2021 Magnum

The Barolo del Comune di La Morra by Crissante Alessandria is the result of Nebbiolo grapes harvested in the Ruggeri, San Biagio, and Bettolotti subzones.

Alberto Alessandria is undoubtedly one of the rising stars of La Morra's Barolo: his grapes, harvested in three different MGAs of this municipality, give us a wine that fully expresses the characteristics of this terroir: his Barolo del Comune di La Morra is delicate and elegant, perfectly direct and precise, enjoyable both when young but with a great aging potential.

The Winery: Crissante Alessandria

The history of the Crissante Alessandria winery began in 1958 in the hamlet of Roggeri, a small village in the Santa Maria area in the municipality of La Morra. Here, Crissante began to vinify the family's vineyards with the help of his wife Teresa. Over the years, new small plots were purchased in the Capalot and Galina subzones, and today the winery can count on about 6 hectares of vineyards; in 2007, they decided to start separate vinification of the different MGAs, and today four different Barolos are produced: Barolo del comune di La Morra, Barolo Galina, Barolo Capalot, and finally a reserve with grapes also harvested in the municipality of La Morra. I personally mainly got to know Alberto, born in 1985, the driving force behind the company, who, with precise ideas, seeks wines of elegance and great fruit expression.
