Crissante Alessandria's Barolo del Comune di La Morra is made from Nebbiolo grapes harvested in the Ruggeri, San Biagio, and Bettolotti subzones.

Alberto Alessandria is undoubtedly one of the rising stars of Barolo from La Morra: his grapes, harvested from three different MGAs in this municipality, yield a wine that fully expresses the characteristics of this terroir. His Barolo del Comune di La Morra is delicate and elegant, perfectly direct and precise, enjoyable when young but with great aging potential.

    Denomination: Barolo DOCG
    Grape varieties: Nebbiolo 100%
    Alcohol content: 14.50%
Vineyards: located in the municipality of La Morra at an altitude ranging from 220 to 280 meters above sea level. The vineyards producing the grapes are Ruggeri, San Biagio, and Bettolotti, characterized by different soils: calcareous-clay for Ruggeri, sandy and marly-calcareous for San Biagio and Bettolotti
Winemaking: spontaneous fermentation in steel with frequent punch-downs and a total maceration on the skins for about 2 weeks. 24 months of aging in large Slavonian oak barrels
    Serving temperature: 16-18°C
    The Winery: Crissante Alessandria

The history of the Crissante Alessandria winery began in 1958 in the hamlet of Roggeri, a small village in the Santa Maria area in the municipality of La Morra. Here, Crissante began to vinify the family's vineyards, aided by his wife Teresa. Over the years, new small plots in the Capalot and Galina subzones were acquired, and today the winery can count on about 6 hectares of vineyards; in 2007, the decision was made to begin separate vinification of the different MGAs, and to date, four different Barolos are produced: Barolo del comune di La Morra, Barolo Galina, Barolo Capalot, and finally a Riserva with grapes always harvested in the municipality of La Morra. Personally, I have mainly come to know Alberto, born in 1985, the driving force behind the company, who with precise ideas seeks wines of elegance and great expression of the fruit.
