The historic Cannubi cru is the origin of this Barolo from the Giacomo Fenocchio winery.

We are talking about one of the most renowned and important vineyards in the entire Barolo territory, where history and tradition have given life to what is now considered one of the most important denominations in the Italian and international wine scene. From a small half-hectare plot, Claudio Fenocchio harvests the fruit of his labor, which he vinifies in the most traditional way possible. Barolo Cannubi is a monument, a combination of elegance, structure, finesse, and depth.

Denomination: Barolo DOCG
Grape Varieties: Nebbiolo 100%
Alcohol Content: 14.5%
Vineyards: MGA Cannubi, 30-year-old vineyard planted at about 280 meters altitude and South-East exposure
Vinification: fermentation in steel tanks and maceration on the skins for about 40 days. 30 months aging in large Slavonian oak barrels
Serving Temperature: 16-18°C
The Winery: Giacomo Fenocchio

The Fenocchio family has been present for generations in Monforte d’Alba, in the famous Bussia sub-zone; we could even say that, along with a few others, the Fenocchios are Bussia. Giacomo began bottling in the 1960s. He was succeeded by his son Claudio, the current owner, serious, simple, and affable, capable of giving a great impulse
to the quality of the wines, achieving international success with productions in the name of the best tradition. Work in the vineyard is sustainable, and in the cellar, Nebbiolo rests in large barrels after prolonged maceration.
