The Winery: Cascina Fontana

Cascina Fontana is a historic family-run winery located on the Perno hill, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. It all started six generations ago, and later grandfather Saverio understood the potential of this area and Barolo even before the 1950s. Today, Mario Fontana continues the tradition by cultivating the typical grape varieties of the Langhe: Dolcetto, Barbera, and Nebbiolo. He produces classic wines that are the pure expression of the land from which they come, the Langhe.
