The Winery: Cascina Fontana
Cascina Fontana is a historic family-run winery located on the hill of Perno, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. It all began six generations ago, and later it was grandfather Saverio who, even before the 1950s, understood the potential of this territory and Barolo. Today, Mario Fontana continues the tradition, cultivating the typical grape varieties of the Langhe: Dolcetto, Barbera, and Nebbiolo. He produces classic wines that are a pure expression of the land from which they come, the Langhe.
