The Winery: Cascina Fontana
Cascina Fontana is a historic family-run winery located on the Perno hill, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. It all started six generations ago, and later it was grandfather Saverio who, even before the 1950s, understood the potential of this territory and of Barolo. Today, Mario Fontana continues the tradition by cultivating the typical grape varieties of the Langhe: Dolcetto, Barbera, and Nebbiolo. He produces classic wines that are the pure expression of the land from which they come, the Langhe.
