Barbera d'Asti Superiore "La Bogliona" 2016

Barbera d'Asti Superiore "La Bogliona" is one of the great excellences produced by the Scarpa winery and is considered one of the benchmark bottles for this denomination.

Barbera "La Bogliona" is produced following the traditional Piedmontese winemaking method. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed, then fermented in truncated cone-shaped wooden vats. After about 3 years of aging, it is bottled and continues to rest in the bottle for another 24 months before being released onto the market.
The result is a wine with an intense ruby color, an intense and complex aroma, with notes of ripe fruit, spices, leather, and tobacco. On the palate, it is full and structured, with soft tannins and balanced acidity. Barbera "La Bogliona" is an elegant and complex wine, which lends itself well to bottle aging, developing further aromatic and gustatory nuances.
